Mark Firmani leads Firmani + Associates as its founder and president, setting the tone for the firm and its team of skilled practitioners and marketing specialists. He brings nearly 25 years of PR expertise, business communication strategy, marketing savvy and political experience to every aspect of the firm’s operations. Mark defines the strategic vision of Firmani + Associates within each of its practice areas and provides senior-level counsel to client partners representing a diverse range of industries.
Mark began his communications career as a professional campaign manager, parachuting into often-troubled federal and state campaigns and putting them on track for success. With little interest in living in Washington DC, Mark began his agency career in Seattle working for an international agency, and later a regional boutique firm where he became a partner. On April Fool’s Day, 1994, Mark launched Firmani + Associates.
Mark has an Accredited in Public Relations credential from the Public Relations Society of America, making him one of only 4,000 elite senior public relations counselors who have completed the rigorous process. He has authored numerous articles on public relations, routinely leads seminars on media relations and has earned a litany of professional accolades throughout his career.
Mark attended Harlaxton College in Grantham, England, and finished his undergraduate work at Indiana University at Bloomington. He is an avid road cyclist and lives in Seattle with his wife, Joy, also a communications agency owner.
