F+A Professional Internship

Our professional internship program offers a wealth of real-world experience for motivated individuals looking to jumpstart their careers in PR and marketing. You’ll work at the level of an account coordinator, collaborating directly with agency and account leaders and engaging with clients. F+A interns build strong portfolios of press releases and digital content, competitive and industry research, earned media placements and more. This is a paid, full-time position that typically lasts four months.

We’re looking for individuals who have completed a bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, digital marketing or another communications field who are proud to possess the attributes and skills outlined below.

Experience and education:

  • A BA/BS degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and produce quality work.
  • BONUS: Professional experience through other internships, jobs, student publications and /or relevant roles.

Key responsibilities:

  • Craft well-written first drafts of press releases, media pitches, blogs and digital content.
  • Conduct editorial, award and speaking opportunity research.
  • Monitor and report performance of earned and owned media and digital campaigns.
  • Support account executives and managers in communications with clients, gathering information, driving deadlines, participating in meetings, and offering new ideas and activities for client programs.

Our internship position provides:

  • A minimum of four months of professional work experience
  • Full-time, paid hourly position
  • Primarily remote work environment with opportunities to collaborate in-person in our Fremont office and on-site at clients
