November New + Noteworthy

We can’t believe another month has gone by, but time flies when you’re having fun! In November, we were tuned into exciting client communications and even spent a couple of days together for our annual fall retreat! Here are the highlights from November:  

• We’re getting ready to decorate for the holidays, but we can’t forget to keep safety at the front of our minds. PEMCO Insurance’s Jennifer Hawton recently shared the best tips for avoiding holiday decoration-related house fires with KATU News. 

• F+A was a proud sponsor of Seattle’s inaugural Law Rocks concert, which invited musically inclined attorneys and their bands to battle it out in support of worthy causes. SGB’s Craig Sims and his band The Funk Docket took home the top prize. Our team danced along, supporting SGB and the Funk Docket in raising money for the Academy for Creating Excellence.  

• Our good buddy Rocky graduated from his training program with K9s For Warriors this month, starting a new life in partnership with his veteran. Read about the Talking Rain team’s trip to the grad ceremony in Florida. 

• At our 2024 annual retreat, the F+A crew spent a couple of days together in downtown Seattle, taking in the views, understanding how we can best harness the power of our Working Genius as individuals and as a team, and making knives out of horseshoes at the unparalleled Lawless Forge. While we pride ourselves on turning up the heat when we need to, it was an incredible new experience to literally work at 4,000 degrees!
